A Word From The Bishop
As Your Presiding Bishop:
I am obligated to walk righteously, that my light may be a light unto your
life. God has given me a heart for his people; to nurture you, to teach you
and to learn you in God's ways that your life will be protected.
The journey & walk with God to not conform to this world; it is a victorious,
yet difficult one for many Christians, due to the confusion of politics, racism,
police brutality and the like for our people.
We all fall short, this is true. However, its time to be lifted from the gutter of
the ignorance of these vices...to learn what freedom really is in Christ that
your soul will be at rest, while you live.
Mission and Vision
To oversee learning, teaching and growing the experiences of the congregation, so
all ages grow in their understanding of the Gospel and become better equipped for
he daily living as faithful disciples of Jesus Christ. Working for the Lord, Jesus,
The Christ leads to understanding the importance of lifelong growth to enhance the
quality of life for "At Risk" children and their families through:
Education - Adapting a new understanding and application of your mind's
ability to think critically, make good choices, build character and strengthen
your poise to be bold about your dreams.
Recreation - Keeping in shape, being healthy, bonding with your peers,
protecting one another's interest.
Development - Having a clear knowledge of your self: seminars, workshops,
Special Events. An overall rites of passage into woman and manhood.
Leadership and Advocacy - Learning from martyrdom; advocating in the
face of adversity takes knowledge of truth, having leaders to teach you to lead
and stand up to the bullies of life.
Healthy Lifestyle Choices - Keeping your body, mind and spiritual soul in
order. Venturing into new understanding of food choices, even creating your
own food choices.
